Who are the

Friends of the Broadway?

The Broadway Theater in Mount Pleasant, Michigan is operated by the non-profit, Friends of the Broadway. It was purchased by the Friends of the Broadway in 2000 for the purpose of preserving the historic theater and to make it available for performances and community events. The Friends of the Broadway's mission is to renovate and preserve the historic Broadway Theater as a community venue for performances and activities which entertain, educate, and culturally enrich our community.

The Broadway is home to two theatre organizations: the Broadway Players and the Broadway Playhouse Kids. The Broadway Playhouse Kids, which is open to young performers 18 and below in secondary school, does at least two shows a year and runs a camp for two weeks every Summer.
